What is EPLI? Employment Practices Liability Insurance protects businesses against lawsuits or claims brought against them by the past, present, and future employees. (“Employee” include independent contractors or leased workers when they qualify as employees in the applicable state.) Coverage is provided on a claims made basis, for losses arising out of alleged wrongful termination, wrongful discipline, defamation, humiliation, harassment, discrimination, failure to promote, among others.
